Summary

Clearline is designed as a local-first communication tool. We do not run social feeds, sell advertising, or profile users for marketing. This policy describes the current mockup and the intended native app posture.

Current mockup (web preview)

The React mockup runs locally in your browser during development. It does not send data to Blue Goat Studios servers. Any text you enter stays in your browser session unless you choose to share it yourself.

Planned native app

When Clearline ships as a native iOS app, we intend the following:

  • Messages and display content stored primarily on your device
  • No Blue Goat Studios-operated analytics or advertising SDKs
  • No contact list scraping or social graph discovery
  • No AI-generated message content

If cloud sync or sharing features are added later, this policy will be updated before those features ship, with clear disclosure of what is stored where.

What we do not collect today

  • No account system on Blue Goat Studios servers for the mockup
  • No analytics sent to Blue Goat Studios from the mockup
  • No use of your content for model training

Support email

If you email us, we receive what you choose to send. We may retain support correspondence for up to one year.

Children

Clearline is intended for adults and teens who need communication support when speech is difficult. It is not designed as a child-facing product (see Find Words for child support).

Not a clinical service

Clearline is not a medical device, therapist, crisis service, or diagnostic tool. Do not use it as a substitute for professional care in emergencies.

Changes

We will update this policy as Clearline moves from mockup to native app. The effective date above will change when we do.
